Born into the traditional culture of the Tiwi tribe of Melville Island in the north of Australia, Kitty Kantilla (1928-2003) began working as an artist in the 1970s. It was a decade later that she was recognized as one of Australia's foremost indigenous artists. This volume presents Kantilla's work from the 1970s right up to her last days in 2003.
