Author description

Sam Selvon (1923) was born in San Fernando (Trinidad). Susheila Nasta is a literary critic, editor, teacher and broadcaster. She is Research Lecturer in Literature at the Open University, Associate Fellow, Institute of English Studies, University of London, and Editor of Wasafiri.
